Frequently asked questions

I use a variety of make up brands. To name a but a few are: Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Clinique, Laura Mercier, MAC, Make Up Forever, NARS and Urban Decay. One of the beauty’s of not working for a specific brand is having the freedom to use products that suit you the best.

Yes please! If you have lots of styles you like or just one, It’s always helpful for me to see what you like. I find it helps if you send me your ideas before a trial, along with a picture of yourself, so we can have a worthwhile time together. Don’t worry if you don’t have anything in mind, We can have a chat and a play around to see what suits you best.

Whatever suits you best! What most brides find helpful is to come to my home studio for trial as we work through your look and have your consultation. Then I come to you on the morning of your wedding day. I am based in Berkshire but happy to travel any distance outside of this subject to additional travel costs.

You are welcome to; especially if you have specific products that you love using. My makeup kit is quite extensive, which will cover a large range of styles, colours and skin types.

You can if you would like to, but it's not essential. It is worth coming with an idea about a veil or other accessories you would like to use. However, The most important thing is we create a style that looks great on you first, then any accessories we add will only enhance your look after that.

Ideally you should wash it the night before to ensure your hair is fully dry for the trial. If you prefer your hair washed daily that is fine too but please ensure your hair is completely dry when we sit down together. When washing your hair (either the night before or the morning) please avoid conditioning or using leave in products, and please don’t straighten your hair. It may feel a bit weird at the time but this will ensure much better results for the trial.

Absolutely! It’s always great to have a second opinion from someone who really knows you and your style.

This largely depends on what you are having done and the size of the bridal party. Once this has been established, I will draw up a timetable and share it with you. My goal here is to ensure we have plenty of time, and everyone knows what needs to happen and when. If you have a larger bridal party, I will bring an assistant along to keep everything running smoothly. Fear not however, we’ll have you ready in plenty of time to walk down the aisle!

You can pay for the trial on the day; I take both cash and card. Please be aware that I won’t have change available. Once you’re happy with the trial, and would like to book me for your wedding day, I require a 50% deposit to ‘save the date’ and remaining amount to be paid in full two weeks before your wedding date.

If you have any questions that are not answered here, please get in touch to ask.
